Winter Wedding at Dodford Manor

Hannah and Rob chose Dodford Manor for their Winter Wedding in February, it was slightly windy (which was great for the veil shots!) and the weather held at the times we needed it during the drinks reception and sparkler exit. There were so many beautiful and personal details throughout the day, and of course we were spoilt with the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside views for their relaxed couple portraits.

I asked Hannah and Rob some questions once they had received their Final gallery, to provide some feedback on what it was like to work with me. Here’s what they said:

When you first found my work, what did you think?

We absolutely loved how natural the photos were - no awkward poses and not overly edited- exactly what we were looking for. We spent AGES searching for a photographer and we are so glad we stumbled across Sam’s Facebook page!

How did you find the booking process and communication leading up to your wedding?

Super easy. Sam was so quick to get back to all my questions. We also decided very last minute to change the package and go for a pre-wedding shoot. Sam was very helpful and nothing was too much of an ask. Sam took the time to get to know us as a couple throughout the booking process which really helped on the wedding day.

What was it like working with me on the wedding day?

AMAZING. We wanted a very relaxed wedding and Sam was exactly that. She made us feel so relaxed and comfortable throughout the day. All of our guests have commented on how lovely Sam was. My mum hates having her photo taken but has even commented how fun and stress-free Sam made it!

Was there anything you were worried, nervous or unsure about that I helped you through?

My mum had caught norovirus the day of my wedding and so she didn’t feel well enough in the morning to help me. Sam was on hand to help me with my dress and direct the bridesmaids on what they could do. I felt so grateful that Sam was there putting her camera down to help me!

Looking at your Wedding Photos now, what is your #1 most favourite thing?

The photos look high quality and you can see the time and effort that have gone into the photos! Photos we are going to treasure forever.

How would you describe me to your Family and Friends?

All our family and friends have commented on how lovely Sam was on our big day! She felt like a guest rather than a supplier. Sam is so easy to talk to and an all-round lovely person.
